A new adventure...

I have decided to go back to work. Yikes! I haven't been out in the work force for 2 years now and I'm feeling a little intimidated. With trips to the temple and many prayers, Matt and I feel like this is something I need to do right now. Matt's job is going well, but being mostly commision, a little more income will help.
So...I'm going to train to be a home stager with Haverhill Institute of Staging and Design. I'm very excited. I love to decorate and I think it would be fun to help others get their homes ready to sell.
...Wish me luck!

She lived happily ever after~

What a great day for Brynlyn. She got McDonalds for lunch. Then we had a princess party for her. Brynlyn got a special visit from 3 beautiful Princesses...Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, & Belle. It was such a fun party. We had Princess Story Telling, Autograph signing, and presents and cake & ice cream. She loved her party.

Thank you to my 2 sisters, Jenni & Lisa and Crystal Brown for dressing up and playing the part of the Princesses. You all looked so beautiful.

Happy Birthday, Brynlyn!

Today I went with my sisters and we took our kids to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was so crowded. But we had a good time. Its always fun to take my kids and show them new places. I would like to do more field trips with my kids...so if anyone has some suggestions, please let me know.

General Conference April 2009

Don't you feel a sense of peace after listening to conference. I do. I had been waiting for this conference weekend to come. Mostly due to the way things are in the world right now. I was anxious to hear what the speakers had to say and what encouragement they would give. I have to say, they did not disappoint. (They never do!)I felt so good after listening to the Prophet and his counselor's and it was all very simple...Stay strong, Attend the Temple, Share the Gospel, Be Prepared. Even though things are crazy in the world and they will only get worse, I know I can still have peace in my life if I just do those things. I am so grateful to belong to this church. In my (almost) 32 years of life I feel like I "get it". Life is really not about the clothes you wear or the car you drive or where you live. To me its about how you treat others, if you're really doing what Jesus would do. I know I'm not perfect and I know I have made plenty of mistakes, but I honestly hope I can do better...be better, try harder, give more! I want to live up to my potential!

He did it! He did it!

Matt got a job...after almost four months of being unemployed he got a job with a company in American Fork called BidSync. He will be in sales but there is good potential for advancement with this company. We are so grateful to Heavenly Father for answering our prayers. We have been truly blessed. I want to personally say "Thank you" to those of you that have fasted and prayed for us during this difficult trial in our life. We have been so blessed with wonderful parents and family members, also. They truly lightened our load.
This has also been an amazing growing experience for Matt and me. We have grown closer and strengthened our marriage. We have learn a lot about ourselves too. We have made it a personal goal to "pay it forward". We were amazed by the service we received. Even the small and simple things blessed our lives.

Naughty or Nice?

This year for Christmas we wanted our kids to ask Santa for something other than just toys. So, we decided we'd focus more on what our kids talents are and then make their Christmas list based on those talents. Kamri wants to learn to play the guitar, so, Santa brought her, her first guitar. Boston loves to draw...really! If we can't find him, he's usually up in his room drawing. So he got an Easel and art supplies. Right now Brynlyn is very much into dressing up. So, she got all kinds of dress up stuff. As for Kenistyn, she was just content with more clothes and a few rattles.

We had a great Christmas. We are truly blessed. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about how much we have. Even with our job/financial situation right now, we still managed to have an awesome Christmas for our kids...and that's all I wanted for Christmas.
