More Crafting~

I saw on a blog a while back a picture frame that was re-purposed as a tray. I loved that idea and decided I needed a Halloween center piece for my table. This is what I came up with:

Forgot to take the picture, but I spray painted it black and sewed some material strips together to make the background:


Added a crow, a candelabra and some candy and its ready for display.

Halloween & Fall Decor

It's about time that I take the time to post this. I love fall and I'm learning to love decorating for Halloween. The "Blog World" has really helped me with that.



To me Fall starts September first. The air is a little cooler, the leaves start to change, and the decorations come out. I love to have my fall decor up for a few months so I can enjoy them longer.










































































I've also pulled out the Halloween decor and added a few things this year. I found a charming Candelabra on a little blog called, "Sawdust & Paper Scraps". Love that blog! Anyway, it gave me the inspiration to make this:
I love the way it turned out. It's not as chunky as the example, but on a $10 budget, I think its the perfect Halloween accent.

Park City~ So Pretty

This weekend my parents had their time share in Park City. So we took the kids up Friday and stayed the night. We BBQ'd and went swimming and Matt even got to watch the BYU game while I took Kamri shopping. I love quality time with the fam.


I took some pictures of all the kids while we were up there.

The Great Salt Lake...

On Labor day we drove out to the Great Salt Lake. I wanted to take some
"Beachy" pictures for the kids bathroom. I would love to have a beautiful ocean view...but the Salt Flats will have to do for now. Our kids really like it out there. We went into the gift shop after and they bought some rocks/crystals. We also bought some Salt Water taffy. It was a good day.

Delicious Bread Sticks~

Here is a family recipe for some delicious Bread Sticks! Yum!












Start with Rhodes Rolls and let them rise. Then Roll them out and smother them in melted butter. Place them on a cookie sheet and sprinkle Parmesan Cheese and Salad Supreme over them. Let raise for about another 30 minutes and then bake at 350' for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Perfect with Lasagna, Spaghetti, or any dinner. Enjoy!

Kids Bathroom Project~ After

Its not totally complete...I still need to add the finishing touches. But I love the Board and Batten and I love the color. In the pics you can't see how pretty the "Heavenly Blue" color is. But I love it! It took a week from start to finish. The total cost for Paint and the boards came to $40. Not too bad to change the whole look of a room. Now that I'm on a roll, I have a whole list of home projects I want to do. We are moving the two little girls into a room together and making the other room a playroom. Those are my next "Honey-Do's!" Pics soon to come!

Kids Bathroom Project~ Before

I love looking at blogs that are crafty and inspiring.Matt and I have taken on some little projects and I wanted to show and tell. As you can see in these pictures I really liked the colors green and purple. My kids asked if they could choose the colors for their bathroom. I thought now would be a good time to take on this project while I have Matt's help. These are the before photos of the hall/kids bathroom. I love the way it all turned out...I just need to download the pics. ;)

This was such a special day for our family. Boston was baptized by his dad on July 31, 2010. Boston made the decision all by himself. He was so excited. I am so proud of the young man he is becoming and the sweet spirit he has. He is such a great example to our family. We love you Boston!

Our Financial Journey for Peace

Thank you to all who voted for me for the "Imagine a Happier You" contest. Unfortunately I was not selected for the financial make-over. I was very discouraged but I will have to accept it. Matt and I will continue to work towards our goal of financial peace. I know its going to be a long road and we will have to make sacrifices. But I know it will be worth it to have peace of mind for my family and our future.
