Back tracking...

In August I agreed to train for a 6k down at Thanksgiving Point. My sweet friend Gina, also agreed to help me train. She was such an asset to me in my success in the 6k. On October 8, 2011, I ran my very first 6k. It was an amazing experience. As I got near the finish line, I got a little emotional. "I did it, I did something for myself that no one else could do for me." That is what I was thinking as I ran across the finish line. I am so grateful for my friends that ran it with me and for their support and motivation. I am so grateful for a body that proved it could do it, even when I wanted to quit. I am so thankful for "My Trainer" that was there every morning ready to run, come rain or shine. I am so excited for the next 6K!

I love these beautiful women! Thanks!

What she's really doing...

So, last night when I put Kenistyn to bed, I thought she was sound asleep...until she came down the stairs to show me her new do. AAAHHHHH. "What did you do?" That's all I could say. I went up to my bath room and there was hair all over the floor. But she tried to clean it up by putting a hand full of hair in the garbage. What a sweet heart. So, today we took her to get it fixed...as much as possible for now. She's got the "Bieber" hair do going on. But we still think she's a cutie.

Back to school Fashion Show '11

This little girl loves clothes. So we decided we would do a little fashion show for her first week back to school. (I have to admit, I love having a "Girly Girl."

8-8-98

What an amazing Anniversary! After 13 (+Plus) years together and this guy still remembers everything...so Matt took me on a scavenger hunt to see if I could remember too.

This is our middle School: Crescent View 1988

It was here where Matt saw me for the first time...

He remembers the first place we held hands... @ Draper City Hall for a Christmas Concert.

...Snow Bird...

Where he proposed.

The Salt Lake Temple...where we were sealed for time and all eternity! So many memories...can't wait to make more!

Who knew when we were 14 years old that we would some day end up madly, completely
in love ???
That's my Happily Ever After!

Hall Bath update

I love how this bathroom is coming right along...slowly but surely.

I found the "Beach" sign at Ross. ( I love that store!) It works perfect in this space, don't ya think? I new I wanted a star and I had pictured it in my mind being white. But after I found this rustic one, I just loved how the brown popped off the blue wall. I just took a can of Clear Rust-Oleum to keep it from dripping rust down the wall and Wa-la. Perfect.

The picture frames are from Ikea for $2 each. Deal!

Added some sea shells to the apothecary. Love sea shells and Apothecaries! Yes!

Another sign I found at Ross. I'm still looking for the perfect hook to hang it on.

It will go in this space right here.
So, what do you think?

More Cordero Summer Fun!

Let's go Bowling. All Star Lanes has a great summer program for families. Kids get to bowl for free. (You just pay for the shoes.) I love bowling and it was so fun to watch my kids enjoy it too.

I love that they even had shoes to fit Kenistyn.

Keni can't quite hold the bowling ball by herself. So, this little device came in handy!

Brynlyn...Miss Photogenic.

We took the kids to the pool a few times this summer. Its always nice to cool down. (No, I didn't adopt the little girl in the background.) :)

Um, note to self: Make sure I move Kenistyn's bangs when putting on sunblock. Good to know it really works. (I felt really bad)

Boston turned 9! He is such an awesome kid. He has so many talents and great qualities. My favorite is that Boston is an amazing friend to anyone and everyone. We love you, Boss!

This is the Crew of "Spies" that came to Boston's party.

What we've been up to.

It has been a very busy summer for the Cordero's. Brynlyn graduated from Leap Ahead Learning Preschool. She loved it. She is ready for Kindergarten now.

Thank you, Ms. Jennae. We love YOU!

We started our Alphabet summer with a trip to the ZOO. It was a lot of fun. It was Kenistyn's first time and she loved all the animals.

Cute Baby Elephant.

Seattle Trip

Matt had a business trip schedule in Seattle WA. I was lucky enough to join him half way through. Neither on of us had ever been there, so of course I wanted to tag along. Our trip didn't go as planned...I was supposed to get a car rental the day I arrived and go sight-seeing while Matt finished up his training. Well, since I don't use credit cards...no car. So, I spent the first day in the hotel and walking around down town Bellevue. Once Matt was done working we picked up a car and were on our way. Things just seem to take so long in Seattle, getting around, finding a place to eat, knowing what to do and what to go see. We didn't get to do everything I wanted to do, but the best part of the trip was just spending quality time together. Something we've needed for months.

Matt got to go to a Mariners game...without me. Oh, for the love of the game!

The Seattle Washington Temple. We had every intention of doing a session, but our trip didn't go as planned...to say the least.

I came all the way to Seattle to get this picture. Well, maybe not just this picture, but pretty close.

Thee famous sign!

Why is Matt holding a fish, you ask...because I wanted to see the nice gentlemen throw some fish like I had seen on a video. So I asked one of them if they could throw the fish. Well, they told me, I had to catch it. And since I didn't want to smell like fish for the rest of the day, I volunteered Matt. He is always a good sport. We got most of it on tape...I just accidentally stopped recording right before he caught it. Oops. My bad!

This is one happening place!

Pike Place Flowers. They were beautiful.

The Fremont Troll ~ Kinda weird. Why would someone sculpt this strange looking creature? I guess they had a lot of time on their hands.

Snoqualmie Falls. Breath taking. I love water falls. They're so Majestic.

Quaint little train station.

Washington is full of beautiful scenery. We drove up to Anacortes, hoping to take a Ferry out to the San Juan Islands. But we had just missed it and the next one wasn't going out for another 3 hours. So we just drove around enjoying the view and the company of each other.

The Seattle Space Needle

Looks pretty high from way down here.

We got our ticket for the Space Needle. Have to admit, I was a little nervous about the height.

Looking westward from on top of the Space Needle. Such a pretty view.

The only regret I have is that I didn't see any Vampires! Now, I'm ready for the next adventure. Some place warm!
